Sea salinity off Odessa coast dropped by more than two times

Samples of sea water near Odesa beaches showed that the salinity is 2.2 times lower than normal.

That's according to the Odesa City Council, Ukrinform reports.

"In the selected samples of sea water on the Langeron beach, the salinity is 2.2 times lower than normal; in the selected samples at the 16th station of Big Fountain, the salinity is also 2.2 times lower than normal," the statement said.

It is noted that in water samples taken near the port on June 14, cholera-like vibrio of NAG group one according to Heiberg was again detected. (For the first time, vibrio was detected in water samples from June 10).

The mayor's office also reported that drinking water in the city meets the standards.
