Twenty-two settlements in Kherson region remain flooded

Twenty-two settlements remain flooded in Kherson region after the Russian troops blew up the Kakhovka HPP.

"As of 06:00, the average water level is 80 cm. Five settlements on the right bank remain flooded – Kherson, Bilozerka, Dniprovske, Novohrednieve, Blahodativka. There are still 843 houses under water," Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin said in a video address posted on Telegram.

As for restoration works, according to him, 345 ha of territory were demined, and 31 explosive objects were removed and defused over the past day.

In turn, the Kherson Regional Military Administration published infographics on Telegram, according to which 22 settlements remain flooded in the region, five – on the right bank, 17 – on the left bank.

As reported, as of the evening of June 18, it was known about the death of 17 civilians as a result of the Kakhovka HPP explosion by Russian troops.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the right-bank part of Kherson region, in particular the city of Kherson. Part of the region, located on the left bank of the Dnipro River, is temporarily occupied by Russian troops.
