Ukrainian rescuers dismantle 127 rubble sites, recover 55 bodies of victims in Türkiye

As part of the search and rescue operation in the Republic of Türkiye, rescuers from the Ukrainian State Emergency Service have inspected 438 earthquake-hit buildings, dismantled 127 rubble sites and recovered 55 bodies of victims.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian State Emergency Service on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Our rescuers are working within the sector, where aftershocks are continuously occurring. There are security officers in teams, who have special devices detecting the movement of elements in the buildings damaged and signal the slightest fluctuations of structures,” the Ukrainian State Emergency Service noted.

On February 15, 2023, four teams of Ukrainian rescuers were involved in search and rescue works within sector R. They included about 60 professionals, 12 equipment units and nine canine crews.

Over the past day, Ukrainian rescuers have inspected one earthquake-hit building, dismantled nine rubble sites and recovered five bodies of victims.
