Ukrainian rescuers inspect over 300 earthquake-hit buildings in Türkiye

Rescuers from the Ukrainian State Emergency Service have inspected over 300 earthquake-hit buildings in Türkiye’s Hatay and Antakya, searching for survivors.

The relevant statement was made DHA, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“As part of the search and rescue operation in Hatay and Antakya, which were affected by the earthquakes, the teams of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service were searching for signs of life, having inspected over 300 buildings destroyed, as well as held rescue missions in the region,” the report states.

Rescuers dismantled about 100 rubble sites and recovered the bodies of victims.

Ukrainian rescuers are using geophones and telescopic cameras in order to hear and see, where a person cannot do so. Sniffer dogs are also involved in rescue works.

In addition, the teams of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service provided medical aid to those affected by the earthquakes.
