Bad weather leaves 80 towns and villages in five regions without electricity

Adverse weather conditions have left 80 towns and villages in 5 regions of Ukraine without electricity, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reports.

"As of 7:00 on June 18, bad weather conditions (wind gusts, thunderstorm) caused blackouts in 80 populated areas in five regions, in particular: Dnipropetrovsk region – 36, Kirovohrad region – 24, Donetsk region – 16, Kyiv region – 2, and Sumy region – 2,” the report says.

Emergency teams of regional power distribution companies have started to conduct needed repairs to resume electricity supply.
