Some 189 towns and villages in seven Ukrainian regions left without electricity

Strong wind gusts have left 189 towns and villages in seven regions of Ukraine without electricity, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reports.

"As of 7:00 on February 5, bad weather conditions (gusts of wind) caused blackouts in 189 settlements in seven regions, in particular: Chernihiv region – 54, Kyiv region – 32, Zhytomyr region – 32, Poltava region – 21, Ternopil region – 20, Khmelnytsky region – 19, and Vinnytsia region – 11," the report reads.

Emergency teams of regional power distribution companies have been involved in the restoration of power supply.
