Over 130 towns and villages in Ukraine still without electricity due to bad weather

As of July 8, 132 populated areas in seven regions of Ukraine remained without electricity due to bad weather conditions, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine has reported.

“As of 7 am, July 8, bad weather conditions (strong wind, rain, hail) caused blackouts in 132 populated areas in seven regions, in particular: Kyiv region – 64 populated areas, Zakarpattia region – 26, Sumy region – 16, Ternopil region – 12, Zhytomyr region – 8, Kirovohrad region – 5, and Dnipropetrovsk region – 1,” reads the report.

Emergency teams of regional power distribution companies started to conduct needed repairs to resume electricity supply.
