Ukraine’s Emergency Service warns of avalanche risk in Carpathians
On March 23-24, significant avalanche danger is expected in Ukraine’s Carpathian mountains due to thaw.
The State Emergency Service reported this with reference to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center's forecasts.
“Considerable (III) level of avalanche risk is expected in the mountainous areas of Zakarpattia and Ivano-Frankivsk regions due to thaw,” the report says.
