Strong winds cause blackouts in over 90 towns and villages in Ukraine

As of March 23, some 94 populated areas in six regions of Ukraine remained without electricity due to bad weather conditions, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported.

"Bad weather conditions (strong winds) caused blackouts in 94 populated areas in six regions, in particular: Sumy region – 30 populated areas, Poltava region – 16, Dnipropetrovsk region – 20, Chernihiv region – 13, Donetsk region – 12, Zaporizhzhia region – 3,” the statement says.

Emergency teams of regional power distribution companies have started to conduct needed repairs to resume electricity supply.
