Ukraine’s Emergency Service issues orange warning level due to strong winds

The State Emergency Service has warned of strong winds across Ukraine, while in some regions gusts of up to 25-30 m/s are possible.

"According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center’s forecasts, strong winds of 15-22 m/s are expected in Ukraine on March 11. Gusts of 25-30 m/s (an orange level of danger) are possible In Lviv, Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Rivne, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava regions,” the press service of the Emergency Service reported.

The forecasters also announced an orange level of danger for the city of Kyiv and Kyiv region, with gusts up to 25-30 m/s.
