Ukraine’s Emergency Service warns of avalanche risk in Carpathians
A significant avalanche danger is expected in the eastern part of Zakarpattia region on December 18.
The State Emergency Service reported this with reference to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center's forecasts.
“On December 18, a considerable (III) level of avalanche risk is expected in mountainous areas of Zakarpattia region,” the report reads.
According to weather forecasters, weather conditions are expected to deteriorate throughout Ukraine.
