Occupying power wants to conceal technogenic catastrophe at Crimean Titan plant – Ministry for temporarily occupied territories

Chemical emissions at the Crimean Titan plant occurred due to a technogenic catastrophe, which the occupying power wants to conceal.

"The facts indicate it was a technogenic catastrophe, which could be triggered by a set of factors: from violation of flowchart up to inappropriate usage of dirty things [at the plant] and so on," Yusuf Kurkchi, the first deputy minister of Ukraine for temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons, said on the air of ICTV channel, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to him, the occupying power in Crimea tried to conceal the emission at the plant. "Hoping it was one-time emission, the occupiers tried to hush those events, but the facts show it was a technogenic catastrophe," Kurkchi concluded.

As reported, on the night of August 24, the emissions of unknown poisonous substance were released into the air in the town of Armyansk in the annexed Crimea, which led to sharp deterioration of health of local residents and especially children.
