Bad weather leaves 53 towns and villages in Ukraine without electricity

As of Sunday morning, August 26, 53 populated areas in Lviv and Volyn regions were left without electricity supply because of bad weather conditions.

This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

“Adverse weather conditions (hail, thunderstorm, wind gusts) caused blackouts in 53 populated areas in two regions: Lviv region – 46 populated areas and Volyn region – 7,” reads the report.

Emergency teams of Oblenergo were involved to carry out needed repair works to resume electricity supply.
