Extreme fire hazard remains in Ukraine

Hot weather will raise extreme fire danger in Ukraine on August 22-23.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine has reported this with a reference to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

"On August 22-23, extreme (5 class) level of fire hazard is expected in eastern, northern, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Rivne and Ternopil regions, and high (4 class) level of fire hazard will prevail in other regions of Ukraine,” reads the report.

In addition, the Emergency Service warns residents of Kyiv region of extreme (5 class) level of fire hazard, in particular, in eastern, southern districts and near Boryspil on August 22-26.
