Almost 130 towns and villages in Ukraine left without electricity

Adverse weather conditions (thunderstorm, wind gusts) have left 129 populated areas in five regions of Ukraine without electricity.

This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

”On the night of June 16, bad weather conditions caused blackouts in 129 populated areas in five regions, in particular: 57 populated areas – in Poltava region, 47 populated areas – in Sumy region, 15 populated areas – in Cherkasy region, 8 populated areas – in Kyiv region and 2 populated areas – in Chernihiv region,” reads the report.

Emergency teams of Oblenergo started to conduct needed repairs to resume electricity supply.
