Two children in intensive care after mass poisoning in Mykolaiv

Two children have been taken to intensive care and 34 more are under the supervision of doctors after an unknown substance was sprayed in a Mykolaiv school, Deputy Head of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration Yevhen Shevchenko has written on his Facebook page.

"Regarding the shocking case at school No. 6, where an unknown substance with strong odor was sprayed today, 36 children were sent to hospital with complaints of coughing, tears, nausea and pricking in the throat, and two children were hospitalized for observation at the intensive care unit with complaints of dizziness and abdominal pain," Shevchenko wrote.

He also said that there are currently no threats to the lives of children.

The situation is under the control of the leadership of the regional state administration. Law enforcement officers and specialists from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine are currently taking all the necessary measures.

As reported, 400 children were evacuated from school No. 6 in Mykolaiv on May 21 due to strong smell.
