Ukraine’s Emergency Service warns of avalanche risk in Carpathian region

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine has issued warnings for mountainous areas in Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions, where a considerable avalanche danger is expected on March 3-4.

The State Emergency Service reported this with reference to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center's forecasts.

“On March 3-4, a considerable (III) level of avalanche risk is expected in the Carpathian mountains (Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions) due to snowfalls,” the report reads.
