Four Ukrainians killed in car and train crash in Poland

Four Ukrainian citizens have been killed in a train and car collision near the Polish town of Opole, according to Polish newspaper Nasze Miasto.

Three passengers and the driver of the car died on the spot.

The accident occurred at around 19.00 on February 27. The youngest of those killed was 20 years and the oldest was 60 years.

Ukraine's consul in Krakow and the honorary consul in Opole are taking measures to establish the identity of the victims and facilitate the transportation of the bodies to Ukraine.

Local police report that the railroad crossing was well illuminated. The circumstances of the tragedy are being investigated.

The Opole-Nysa road was temporarily closed to traffic.
