Avalanche risk still remains in Carpathian region of Ukraine

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine has issued warnings for mountainous areas in Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions, where a considerable avalanche danger is expected on February 27.

The State Emergency Service reported this with reference to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center's forecasts.

“On February 27, a considerable (III) level of avalanche risk remains in the Carpathian mountains (Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions),” the report reads.
