Two Ukrainians killed in road accident in Slovakia - Foreign Ministry

Two Ukrainian citizens were killed in a road accident in the Presov region in Slovakia on November 11, an official representative of the Consular Service Department of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Vasyl Kyrylych has said.

"A bus in which four Ukrainian citizens were travelling collided with a truck, as a result of which one Ukrainian citizen died at the scene of the road accident. Three were hospitalized, and one of them died in hospital," Radio Liberty quoted him as saying.

Kyrylych added that the police were determining the causes of the accident. Ukraine's consul in Slovakia maintains contact with law enforcement officers.

As reported, a road accident involving a truck and a minibus with Ukrainian license plates occurred in the Slovak village of Nizny Hrabovec at about 23.00 on November 11. A 38-year-old man died on the spot, and three others were injured.

According to media reports, Ukrainian migrant workers from Zakarpattia region were returning from work in the Czech Republic by a minibus. The truck transported electromechanical equipment. The driver of the truck is reported to have been drunk.
