Bad weather causes blackouts in 389 towns, villages in Ukraine

Worsening weather conditions (rain, wet snow, and wind gusts) have caused blackouts in 389 towns and villages in ten regions in Ukraine as of Monday morning, the press office of the State Service for Emergency Situations has reported.

In particular, bad weather caused blackouts in 129 towns and villages in Lviv region, 68 in Ternopil region, 51 in Khmelnytsky region, 50 in Chernivtsi region, 32 in Ivano-Frankivsk region, 21 in Vinnytsia region, 13 in Rivne region, 12 in Poltava region, eight in Kyiv region, and five in Zakarpattia region," reads the report.

Regional power supply crews are involved in restoring power supply to populated centers.
