Demining of Kalynivka territory starts, people return to villages – Groysman

Explosions of ammunition at the military depots near Kalynivka of Vinnytsia region have almost ceased, the demining of a 5-km zone has started, and people return to distant villages.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman wrote this on Facebook.

"As for the situation in Kalynivka, the ammunition continues to smolder in the warehouses, the explosions have almost stopped. In general, the situation is under control: air reconnaissance is underway for further use of aircrafts to localize fires, the demining of a 5-km zone has started, people return to distant villages," the head of the government noted.

As reported, a fire broke out at ammunition depots in Kalynivka on September 26, which subsequently led to artillery shells exploding. About 30,000 people were evacuated from the zone of possible danger.
