Bad weather leaves 131 Ukrainian towns and villages without electricity

A total of 131 towns and villages in eight regions of Ukraine have been left without electricity as a result of adverse weather conditions.

This is reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

"On September 22, bad weather conditions (rain, thunderstorm, wind gusts) caused blackouts in 131 populated areas in eight regions of Ukraine, particularly, 30 villages and towns in Donetsk, 30 - in Kyiv, 20 - in Poltava, 14 - in Vinnytsia, 14 – in Odesa, 13 - in Zaporizhzhia, 8 - in Cherkasy, 2 - in Dnipropetrovsk regions," the report reads.

Emergency teams of regional power distribution companies have started to conduct needed repairs to resume electricity supply.
