Bad weather leaves 478 towns and villages in Ukraine without electricity

A total of 478 towns and villages in six regions of Ukraine have been left without electricity as a result of adverse weather conditions.

This is reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

"On September 17-18, bad weather conditions (rain, thunderstorm, wind gusts) caused blackouts in 478 populated areas in six regions of Ukraine, particularly, 187 villages and towns in Khmelnytsky, 114 – in Ternopil, 73 – in Chernivtsi, 70 – in Ivano-Frankivsk, 33 – in Zakarpattia and 1 – in Dnipropetrovsk regions," the report reads.

71 emergency teams of Oblenergo have started to conduct needed repairs to resume electricity supply.
