Traffic restrictions introduced in six regions of Ukraine due to severe weather conditions

Road traffic restrictions have been introduced in six regions of Ukraine due to severe weather conditions, the press service of Ukravtodor [Ukraine's State Agency of Automobile Roads - Ed.] reports.

In particular, road traffic was partially restricted in Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Zakarpattia, Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions.

In Vinnytsia Region, bus traffic on all public roads was restricted from 06:00 a.m. on February 3, 2017 due to rain and freezing temperatures.

In Khmelnytskyi Region, due to similar weather conditions, freight and bus traffic was restricted on local roads from 05:00 a.m. on February 3, 2017.

In Cherkasy Region, temporary traffic restrictions were imposed on heavy and passenger vehicles from 06:00 a.m. on February 3, 2017 due to road icing.

Traffic restrictions were also introduced on the following highways: M05 Kyiv-Odesa, M12 Stryi-Ternopil-Kropyvnytskyi-Znamianka.

In Zakarpattia Region, О-071001Svaliava-Mukacheve local road was closed for vehicles from 09:30 p.m. on February 2, 2017 due to water overflow caused by rain and above-zero temperatures.

In addition, road traffic restrictions were introduced in Kyiv Region and Zhytomyr Region due to critical icing caused by rain and freezing temperatures.
