More than 120 Ukrainian villages without electricity following storms

Rain, hail and gust winds that rages in the at midnight from 18 to 19 July in Ukraine has left 121 villages without power, the press service of the State Emergencies Service has reported.

"In the morning of 19 July due to inclement weather conditions (wind, rain and hail) and because of automatic electricity protection systems, the blackout was recorded in 121 villages in five areas,regions: Poltava - 48 villages, Sumy - 34 villages, Zhytomyr  - 26 villages, Kyiv - 12 villages, and Dnipropetrovsk - 1 village," the report has said.

Regional power utilities have dispatched repair teams to restore power supplies.
