Almost 7,000 wounded soldiers from ATO underwent treatment in Dnipropetrovsk

Almost 7,000 wounded Ukrainian soldiers from the anti-terrorist operation area (ATO) have undergone treatment in Dnipropetrovsk city.

Chief Physician of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Clinical Hospital named after Mechnikov, Serhiy Ryzhenko wrote this on his Facebook page.

“Dnipro [Dnipropetrovsk] is true outpost No.1 in Ukraine. A total of 6,770 wounded persons went through our famous city. The Dnipropetrovsk service of medical catastrophes and the 66th military hospital (today is its one-year anniversary) have turned hardships, even obstacles into a victory,” Ryzhenko wrote.

According to him, seriously wounded soldiers were delivered mostly from Donetsk Airport, Kamianka, Kurakhove, Selidivo, Kramatorsk, Mariupol, and Artemivsk.

In addition, almost 2,000 seriously wounded soldiers have been saved in the Mechnikov hospital since the start of ATO, Ryzhenko said.
