Journalists trace owner of deadly small aircraft crashed in Lviv region

Journalist investigation reveals details on aircraft crash

An owner of the ZENAIR ZODIAC CH601 XLaircraft, which crashed on October 4 outside the city of Lviv, was a businessman.

ZAXID.NET website reports.

As previously reported, a 54-year-old pilot and 31-year-old passenger died in the ultralight aircraft crash last Sunday that occurred outside the village of Lisnovychy in the Horodok district. The police have not disclosed their names.

Instead, the owner of the aircraft was found out.  According to ZAXID.NET, he is the Lviv businessman Yaroslav Nakonechny. He has a pilot license himself, however, it’s certain that the aircraft wasn’t piloted by Nakonechny last Sunday, but by another pilot from Lviv.

The fact that this aircraft, which is based at the Tsuniv airport, was used for flying tourists and everyone who could afford to fly. These services have even been advertised on Facebook as “Aircraft flights Lviv". The 31-year-old passenger, who was killed along with the pilot, was likely just a tourist.
