Ukrainians to elect mayors of 11 cities, deputies of 47 councils on Sunday - CEC

A second ballot in the election of mayors of 11 Ukrainian cities and deputies of 47 local councils will be held on Sunday, November 22, the Central Election Commission's press service has reported.

According to the report, more than 2.7 million voters can take part in the voting.

"On November 22, there will be a second ballot in the local elections held on October 25, 2020. In particular, [the second round of] mayoral elections will be held in 11 territorial communities in nine regions," the CEC said.

According to the Central Election Commission, the second round of mayoral elections will take place in Dnipro (Dnipropetrovsk region), Nikopol (Dnipropetrovsk region), Sloviansk (Donetsk region), Uzhgorod (Zakarpattia region), Berdiansk (Zaporizhia region), Drohobych (Lviv region), Lviv, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Rivne, and Cherkasy.

According to the CEC, about 2.754 million voters will be able to take part in the re-run of the mayoral elections at 1,649 polling stations.

In addition, the CEC said, a second ballot in the election of deputies to 47 local councils will be held on November 22 in territorial communities in 15 regions: three deputies to two city councils, 20 deputies to 13 settlement councils, and 43 deputies to 32 village councils.
