Twenty candidates running for Kyiv mayor

The Kyiv city territorial election commission has registered three more candidates for Kyiv mayor in Ukraine's local elections due to be held on October 25.

Respective resolutions by the territorial election commission have been published on Kyiv City Council's website, according to Ukrinform.

In particular, the commission registered three more candidates for Kyiv mayor, among them Andrii Illienko from the Svoboda All-Ukrainian Association, Boryslav Bereza from the Eco Party of Bereza, and Olena Filonova from the Razom Syla (Strong Together) party.

The total number of candidates running for Kyiv mayor as of September 30 has reached 20.

The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, scheduled local elections for October 25.

The election process started on September 5. The nomination of candidates for posts of mayors and deputies lasted from September 15 to September 24.
