Servant of the People may get over 50% in parliamentary elections - poll

If the elections to the Verkhovna Rada were held in mid-July, the Servant of the People party would garner 52.3% of the vote among respondents who will definitely go to the polls and have already decided on their choice, whereas Opposition Platform - For Life would garner 10.3%, European Solidarity - 7.9%, Batkivshchyna - 5.8%, Strength and Honor - 5.1%, and Holos – 4%, according to a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).

Among all respondents, 36.5% would vote for the Servant of the People party, 7.2% for the Opposition Platform - For Life party, 5.5% for the European Solidarity party, 4 % for the Batkivshchyna All-Ukrainian Association, 3.6% for the Strength and Honor party, 2.8% for the Holos party, 2.1% for the Opposition Bloc, 1.7% - for the Civil Position party, 1.7% for Oleh Liashko's Radical Party. The remaining parties would garner less than 1% of the vote. Some 21.8% of those polled said they had not decided yet who they would like to vote for.

Among those that are going to vote in early elections to the Verkhovna Rada, Servant of the People would get 38.6% of the vote, Opposition Platform - For Life - 7.6%, European Solidarity - 5.8%, Batkivshchyna - 4.3%, Strength and Honor - 3.8%, Holos - 3%, Opposition Bloc - 2.2%, Civil Position - 1.8%, Radical Party - 1.8%, the Party of Sharij – 1.1%, and Svoboda - 1.1%. The remaining parties would garner less than 1%. Some 23% of those polled said they had not yet decided on their preferences, and 0.6% are going to spoil the ballot.

Among respondents who will definitely come to vote and have already decided on their choice, 52.3% would back Servant of the People, 10.3% - Opposition Platform - For Life, 7.9% - European Solidarity, 5.8% - Batkivshchyna, 5.1% - Strength and Honor, 4% - Holos, 3% - Opposition Bloc, 2.5% - Civil Position, 2.4% - Radical Party, 1.5% - the Party of Sharij, 1.5% - Svoboda, and 1.3% - the Ukrainian Strategy of Groysman.

The electoral threshold at the elections to the Verkhovna Rada elections on July 21, 2019, is 5%.

KIIS conducted the poll from July 3 to July 13, 2019. A total of 2,004 respondents aged over years living in 125 populated localities in all regions of Ukraine (except for Crimea) were interviewed. In Luhansk and Donetsk regions, the poll was conducted only on the government-controlled area.

The margin of error (with a probability of 0.95 and a design effect of 1.5) does not exceed 3.3% for figures close to 50%, 2.8% for figures close to 25%, 2% for figures close to 10%, and 1.4% for figures close to 5%.
