88% of Ukrainians support holding of snap parliamentary elections

The number of supporters of snap parliamentary elections has increased from 72% to 88% over the past month, while 67% of Ukrainians believe that the newly elected parliament will be more effective than the previous one.

This is evidenced by the results of a poll conducted by the Rating sociological group on June 8-12.

"The number of supporters of snap parliamentary elections has increased from 72% to 88% over the past month. Now only 8% have the opposite opinion (against 18% in May). 67% of respondents believe that the newly elected parliament will be more effective than the previous one," the statement reads.

At the same time, according to the Rating, 58% of respondents believe that the decree of the head of state on the dissolution of the parliament meets both the Constitution and the sentiments of citizens. 20% of respondents believe that it does not comply with the Basic Law but corresponds to the sentiments in society, and only 6% consider this decision illegal and not in line with public expectations.

A total of 2,500 respondents were polled.
