Groysman not to join Poroshenko in running for parliament

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman rules out the possibility of uniting the efforts of his Ukrainian Strategy party with the European Solidarity party led by Petro Poroshenko.

Groysman said this in an interview with ICTV, which was made public on May 26.

“I can tell you that many politicians discussed different possibilities, but I made a decision that I will run on my own. This decision is ultimate for me. In my opinion, I believe that we are just different,” Groysman answered to a journalist’s question whether he is likely to unite with the ex-president’s party.

At the same time, Groysman noted that he had received proposals from Poroshenko to unite their political forces to run for the parliament.

Groysman added that he would take part in the elections with a team of “fairly young, energetic and professional people.”
