Voter turnout in 194 electoral districts is 18.04 percent

As of 11:00 and according to the data of 194 out of 199 electoral districts, the voter turnout in the second round of Ukraine’s presidential elections was 18.04%.

The relevant data have been released by the press center of the Central Election Commission of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The highest voter turnout was recorded in Zaporizhzhia region (24.62%), Dnipropetrovsk region (22.86%), Poltava region (22.53%), Mykolayiv region (22.95%), Kherson region (22.06%), Kirovohrad region (21.35%).

In Donetsk region and Luhansk region, the turnout was 20.89% and 22.71% respectively.

The voter turnout in Sumy region was 20.54%, Chernihiv region – 20.14%, Cherkasy region – 20.63%, Kyiv region – 19.43%, Zhytomyr region - 16.94%, Vinnytsia region - 17.06%, Odesa region - 17.42%, Khmelnytskyi - 15.89%, Kyiv city – 16.45%.

As of 11:00, the lower voter turnout was recorded in Volyn region (13.99%), Rivne region (13.84%), Lviv region (12.14%), Ternopil region (11.60%), Ivano-Frankivsk region (10.81%), Chernivtsi region (10.90%).

Zakarpattia region shows the lowest turnout: 8.64%.

As reported, the second round of Ukraine’s presidential elections is held on Sunday, April 21.

There are two candidates in a voting paper as showman Volodymyr Zelensky and incumbent Head of State Petro Poroshenko made it to the run-off according to the results of the first round held on March 31.

A total of 199 territorial electoral districts and one overseas electoral district, as well as about 30,000 precinct election commissions, were formed. 101 polling stations operate abroad.
