CEC counts over 60% of votes in Ukraine election

The Central Election Commission (CEC) processed 60.28% of voting protocols in Ukraine's presidential election as of 10:00 on Monday.

Respective data have been posted on the CEC website, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

According to these results, comedian Volodymyr Zelensky holds the lead with 30.36% of the vote.

Some 16.4% of voters supported incumbent President Petro Poroshenko and 13.08% backed Batkivshchyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko.

Yuriy Boiko gained 11.58% of the vote, Anatoliy Hrytsenko - 7.07%, Ihor Smeshko - 5.92%, and Oleh Liashko - 5.12%.

In addition, 4.28% of Ukrainians voted for Oleksandr Vilkul and 1.66% for Ruslan Koshulynsky .

Other candidates garnered less than 1%.

The CEC has currently counted 10,716,577 votes.

The presidential election was held in Ukraine on March 31. There were 39 candidates on the ballot paper.
