CEC creates 80 special polling stations for military

The Central Election Commission of Ukraine (CEC) has created 80 special polling stations in the territories of military units (formations) in Donbas and Lviv region, according to the Commission’s press release.

"Having considered relevant motions from the Defense Ministry of Ukraine, the Commission in an exception case created 80 special polling stations in the territories of military units (formations) in Donetsk, Luhansk and Lviv regions for the next elections of the President of Ukraine scheduled for March 31, 2019," says the press release.

In particular, according to the CEC, 65 special polling stations have been created in Donetsk region, 14 special polling stations in Luhansk region, and one special polling station in Lviv region.

Also, district election commissions have been created at the referred above special polluting stations.

As reported, the presidential election campaign started on December 31, 2018. On February 8, the CEC completed the process of registration for the post of head of state in Ukraine's presidential election. A total of 44 presidential candidates were registered but then five of them withdrew from presidential race.
