Russian drone attack: 23 strikes recorded on railway infrastructure facilities
Twenty-three strikes have been recorded as a result of the Russian attack on railway infrastructure facilities.
Ukrainian presidential advisor Dmytro Lytvyn told this to journalists, according to Ukrinform.
"Following the attack, we have 23 hits on railway facilities. No injuries or fatalities among passengers were recorded. Monitoring teams stopped and evacuated trains in advance," Lytvyn said.
He noted that all employees had been previously relocated to shelters at their workplaces. At the same time, one employee sustained a minor injury while moving to a shelter.
According to him, in Zdolbuniv, two railway workers were killed among civilians. At the time of the attack, they were not on duty. Another person was injured.
In addition, infrastructure sustained damage: three locomotives, seven suburban carriages, eight freight wagons, five traction substations, five depots, and two bridges.
Lytvyn added that train movement continues across the entire railway network.
