Norway to provide Ukraine with $200M in budget support
The funds will be delivered through the World Bank's PEACE project to support the state budget.
Ukraine's Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko stated this on Telegram.
"I warmly welcome Norway's decision to provide $200 million in budget support for Ukraine through the World Bank's PEACE project. We are sincerely grateful for this timely contribution, which reflects Norway's principled leadership and steadfast support for Ukraine during this period of immense challenge," the statement said.
Svyrydenko noted that since the program's launch in 2022, the PEACE project in Ukraine has mobilized nearly $52 billion, of which $13.4 billion has been allocated for pension payments.
As reported, since February 2022 Ukraine has received more than $66 billion through World Bank mechanisms, of which nearly $40 billion has been in grants.
