Funds for targeted financial assistance to be redistributed from Social Policy Ministry savings

Exclusive

Targeted financial assistance will be paid from funds saved in the first quarter through a review of internal resources of the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity.

That is according to the ministry’s press service, as reported by Ukrinform.

“By clarifying the number of recipients and verifying data under budget programs in the first quarter, the ministry was able to generate internal savings. This makes it possible to support pensioners and vulnerable groups immediately, without drawing on additional resources and without any risk to future payments,” the Ministry said in response to an inquiry.

Starting in April, pensioners and social assistance recipients will receive a one-time payment of UAH 1,500. It will be granted to pensioners participating in the mandatory pension insurance system, disability benefit recipients, low-income families, internally displaced persons receiving social assistance, families with children, and other recipients of basic social support.

As reported earlier, payments under the new package of targeted financial assistance for vulnerable groups will be credited to Ukrainians automatically.
