PM Svyrydenko meets with newly elected Naftogaz supervisory board
Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko discussed the implementation of regional energy sustainability plans with the newly appointed supervisory board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
According to Ukrinform, Svyrydenko announced this on Facebook.
“We discussed the company's key tasks: increasing gas production, increasing the group's capitalization, developing international partnerships, and continuing to fulfill social obligations,” Svyrydenko said.
The prime minister thanked the company and its employees for their dedicated work, especially during this difficult winter.
“We discussed separately the implementation of the Energy Sustainability Plans for Ukraine's regions. We expect the state-owned company to be actively involved in the implementation of these plans, in particular in terms of ensuring uninterrupted gas supplies to communities,” Svyrydenko emphasized.
As the Prime Minister noted, "we also separately focused on the importance of maintaining fixed gas prices for the population. The state will continue to provide appropriate support to people during this difficult period. At the same time, we are consistently moving towards price liberalization for the commercial segment."
As reported by Ukrinform, in early March, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed a new supervisory board for Naftogaz of Ukraine.
