DTEK reports significant damage to thermal power plants after Russian attack
Equipment at DTEK's thermal power plants was significantly damaged during a massive Russian attack on February 3.
According to Ukrinform, the DTEK Group stated this on Telegram.
"Russia has once again attacked DTEK's thermal power plants. As a result of the attack, equipment at the thermal power plants was significantly damaged," the statement says.
DTEK noted that this was already the ninth massive attack on the company's thermal power plants since October 2025.
Overall, since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, DTEK's thermal power plants have been attacked more than 220 times. Fifty-nine power plant workers have been injured, and four have been killed.
As Ukrinform previously reported, due to a Russian combined attack in Kharkiv, water will have to be drained from the heating system in 820 buildings to prevent the network from freezing.
