Over 3,400 apartment buildings in Kyiv left without heat after power system emergency
In Kyiv, 3,419 apartment buildings remain without heating following an emergency situation in Ukraine's power system.
According to Ukrinform, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said this in a post on the Telegram messaging app.
He said that Kyiv is gradually restoring essential services after the emergency in the national power system, which led to the shutdown of the city's water and heat supply systems.
"Water supply has already been restored on the left bank [of the Dnipro River]. The water supply system is operating at reduced pressure in the Holosiivskyi, Pecherskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts," Klitschko said.
He noted that 3,419 apartment buildings are currently without heating, mostly in the right-bank part of the capital.
Municipal services and power engineers are working to restore essential services to Kyiv residents, Klitschko added.
