Russian strikes on energy facilities leave users in Kyiv and two regions without power — Ministry of Energy
The Ministry of Energy has stated that Russian strikes on Ukraine's energy system have left users in Kyiv, Kyiv region, and Chernihiv region without power.
According to Ukrinform, the Ministry of Energy reported this on Telegram.
“Since last night, there has been a massive Russian strike on Ukraine's energy system. As a result, customers in Kyiv, Kyiv region, and Chernihiv region are without power,” the statement said.
Rescue workers and power engineers will begin to eliminate the consequences of the attack in order to restore the power supply in the regions as soon as the security situation allows.
Emergency power cuts have been introduced throughout Kyiv.
“On the orders of Ukrenergo, emergency power cuts have been introduced throughout the capital,” DTEK said.
DTEK will provide updates on its Telegram channel in case of any changes.
As reported by Ukrinform, as a result of the Russian attack, almost one-third of the capital is without heat. There is no electricity in some areas of the left bank of Kyiv.
