Russia strikes Ukrnafta facilities overnight, causing damage
During a nighttime attack on December 23, Russian forces struck production facilities of JSC Ukrnafta.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Facebook by Naftogaz CEO Serhii Koretskyi.
“Russia continues its targeted attacks on oil and gas infrastructure. During a combined night attack, the enemy struck Ukrnafta production facilities,” he said.
Koretskyi noted that “there were no casualties, which is the most important thing.” However, there was damage, operations have been suspended, and urgent repair work is ongoing.
It was reported that specialists from the Naftogaz Group are working in an enhanced mode, restoring infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, during the combined attack on December 23, Russians deployed over 600 drones and dozens of missiles, targeting Ukraine’s energy facilities, mostly in western regions.
The attack also forced a temporary reduction in power generation at nuclear power plants.
