Russia attacks energy facilities overnight, power outages recorded in three regions

As of the morning of December 18, Russian strikes have left consumers without electricity in the Cherkasy, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions.

According to Ukrinform, Ukrenergo reported this on Facebook.

"Last night, the enemy carried out attacks on energy facilities in several regions. As a result, by morning power outages were recorded in the Cherkasy, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Emergency restoration work is ongoing in all affected regions. Energy workers are doing everything possible to return damaged equipment to operation as quickly as possible," the statement said.

As of 09:30 on Thursday, electricity consumption remained at the previous day's level. In regions where rolling blackouts are in effect, careful energy use continues to be necessary.

"Please minimize the use of high-power electrical appliances. If possible, shift energy-intensive processes to nighttime hours – after 23:00," the energy system operator said.
