Ukrenergo creates Ethics and Anti-Corruption Committee

The Supervisory Board of Ukrenergo has established an Ethics and Anti-Corruption Committee aimed at strengthening independent oversight of integrity-related matters.

Ukrenergo reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform writes.

The board also approved an anti-corruption plan with a structured roadmap to further enhance governance, control, and accountability.

The decisions were made on December 4 during an extraordinary meeting, which aimed to assess the company's internal controls, the effectiveness of its anti-corruption measures, and compliance in tenders, procurement, and administrative processes.

Following the meeting, Ukrenergo's management was instructed to implement strengthened mechanisms of personal responsibility for all employees involved in procurement and tender processes, ensure strict compliance with requirements, and, if necessary, immediately take corrective actions. The Supervisory Board emphasized that it "acts independently and decisively to uphold the highest standards of integrity."

Board Chairman Jeppe Kofod highlighted the importance of protecting Ukrenergo's reputation to secure financing, restructure credit obligations, and maintain the trust of international partners during this critical time for the energy sector.
