Ukraine is ready for joint drone production with France – Zelensky
President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine is ready for joint drone production with France. According to him, this partnership will strengthen both countries and contribute to enhancing European security overall.
He stated this on Telegram following the Ukrainian-French drone co-production forum held in Paris, which was attended by the leaders of both states, Ukrinform reports.
"I provided a detailed overview of Ukraine's use of various types of drones – long-range, sea – and of production capabilities. We are ready for joint production with France," Zelensky said.
He emphasized the need to strengthen partnerships between the businesses and defense agencies of both countries.
"Such cooperation will reinforce both Ukraine and France and will contribute to strengthening European security as a whole," Zelensky noted.
According to him, the key topic of the forum was potential areas of joint drone production, including the creation of joint ventures and investments.
As reported earlier, in an interview with Bloomberg Television, Zelensky said that Ukraine, together with the United States, has begun producing interceptor drones.
In addition, the defense ministries of Ukraine and the United Kingdom agreed on joint production of 1000 Octopus-100 interceptor drones.
