Rolling blackouts to run all day Monday in most Ukrainian regions
Electricity consumption limits will be in place throughout Monday, November 10, in several regions due to the difficult situation in the power system caused by Russian strikes.
Ukrenergo reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
On Monday, November 10, electricity consumption will be restricted in most regions of the country.
For household consumers, hourly rolling blackout schedules will be in effect from 00:00 to 23:59, with between two and four cutoff groups.
Power for industrial consumers will also be limited from 00:00 to 23:59.
Ukrenergo emphasized that the timing and scale of the restrictions may change. Updated information will be posted on the official social media pages of regional power distributors (oblenergo).
Citizens are urged to use electricity sparingly during the hours when it is available.
As reported, several major power facilities in Poltava, Kharkiv, and Kyiv regions were damaged during Russia’s massive attack on November 8.
Centrenergo announced that all of its thermal power plants halted operation after the overnight strike and are no longer generating electricity.
Russian forces also hit a thermal power plant in Chernihiv region with drones overnight on November 9, causing damage.
