New power outages due to Russian shelling — Ukrenergo

As of the morning of October28, consumers in several regions of Ukraine remain without electricity due to Russian shelling. In some areas, scheduled hourly power outages are in effect.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the National Energy Company Ukrenergo on Facebook.

“As a result of Russian strikes on energy facilities, there are consumers without electricity in several regions this morning. Emergency restoration work is ongoing in all areas where networks were damaged. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore stable power supply to all consumers as quickly as possible,” the statement reads.

Ukrenergo reminded that, due to the consequences of previous strikes, hourly power outage schedules from 08:00 to 22:00 are in force in several regions, with 1–2 outage cycles. Additionally, in those same regions, during 07:00–22:00, power limitation schedules are applied for industrial consumers.

Electricity consumption as of 06:30 Tuesday exceeded the previous day by 1.8 percent. This increase is due to cloudy weather across most regions, which reduces the efficiency of household solar power plants.

“Today, it remains necessary to use electricity sparingly. If you currently have power, please limit the use of high-power appliances until 22:00,” Ukrenergo emphasized.

As reported earlier, on Monday, several regions of Ukraine had forced hourly outage schedules ranging from 1 to 2.5 cycles.
