Some 47.5 thousand Ukrainians already involved in Army of Reconstruction project

As of August 24, 2023, a total of 47,464 Ukrainians were taking part in socially useful works under the Army of Reconstruction project.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian State Employment Service on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In particular, 9,089 people were assigned to relevant jobs in the Kharkiv region, 7,029 – in the Poltava region, 5,722 – in the Donetsk region, 5,152 – in the Chernihiv region, and 5,117 – in the Kyiv region.

A total of UAH 305 million has already been transferred to finance such jobs.

A reminder that the Army of Reconstruction project was launched by the Ukrainian government in autumn 2022 to involve people who had lost jobs in the country’s reconstruction through socially useful works. Salary payments for such jobs cannot be lower than the minimum wages (UAH 6,700).
